Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) Alarms

RTO Load Shed Alarm

• When the shed status of an RTO (typically PJM) changes to active, an alarm is generated, and an email is sent to all users subscribed to the alarm.
• When the shed status of an RTO (typically PJM) changes to inactive, an alarm is generated, and an email is sent to all users subscribed to the alarm.

RTO Peak Forecasted Alarm

• Daily, in the morning, PJM projects the peak of the day for the entire PJM footprint
• When that peak is greater than 130 MW we send an email to all users subscribed to the alarm.

Meter Alarms

Meter Connection

• When hasn't posted demand data to Gridcap in the past 15 minutes, an alarm is generated and an email is sent to all users subscribed to the alarm.

Meter Load Shed

• When an admin manually activates load shed for an individual meter, an alarm is generated and an email is sent to all users subscribed to the alarm.
• Note: this alarm is only generated when load shed for a single meter is activated not when load shed for the meter's RTO is activated.
